Florida toll invoices can follow the license plate, so movers, visitors, and rental-car drivers should know where the bill may go.
Toll-By-Plate is the toll bill that follows the tag, not the person standing at the booth. On many Florida toll roads, cameras can read the plate when there is no transponder payment. The invoice then goes to the registered owner of the vehicle.
That detail matters after a move, a rental-car trip, or a borrowed-car errand. If the vehicle record has an old address, the bill may go somewhere you do not see right away. If the car is rented, the rental company may add its own payment path or fee. If a toll invoice sits unpaid, it can turn into a registration hold or a later collection problem.
Start with the exact plate, the road agency, and the address on the vehicle record. Check whether SunPass, another accepted transponder, or Toll-By-Plate handled the trip. For a rental, read the rental agreement before you drive through a toll lane.
