Flamingo Fares is the Tampa Bay transit wallet

Flamingo Fares helps riders pay on participating Tampa Bay transit systems, but agency rules, caps, routes, and accepted payment types need a check.

Tampa Bay transit can feel easier once you know that fares are part of the trip planning, not a separate mystery.

Flamingo Fares is a payment system used by participating agencies in the region. It can help riders use a card or account instead of thinking through every cash fare one ride at a time. That is helpful if a day includes buses, a transfer, or a trip across agency lines.

Still, the payment tool does not answer every route question. Check the transit agency for the route, fare, fare cap, app or card option, transfer detail, and any reduced-fare rule that fits you. PSTA, HART, and other local systems may have different pieces of the same regional puzzle.

For visitors and new residents, the best habit is simple. Plan the route first, then confirm how Flamingo Fares works on that exact trip before you board.
