Florida vote-by-mail needs an election-specific county check
Florida vote-by-mail plans should be checked with the county Supervisor of Elections for each election.
Vote-by-mail is a county errand as much as a statewide rule.
The request, mailing address, ballot tracking, signature questions, and return deadline all need the county Supervisor of Elections in the loop. A move inside Florida can change the office you deal with. A temporary address can matter. A missed signature step can become the real issue even when the ballot arrived on time.
The practical habit is to check early for each election. Look up your registration, confirm the mailing address, request the ballot if you need one, and track it after it is sent. If you are away from home, give the county enough time for mail both ways.
Do not treat a postmark as the whole answer unless the current election instructions say that fits your situation. Use the Division of Elections page to understand the statewide path, then follow the exact county instructions for the election in front of you.
