Florida sellers of travel registration is a vacation clue
Florida has a seller-of-travel registration lane, so vacation packages, travel clubs, and travel offers deserve an official-number check.
Florida has enough vacation offers that a registration number can be a helpful clue.
FDACS has a sellers-of-travel lane for businesses with a Florida location. It can also apply when travel is offered for sale in Florida. The page covers travel packages, tour packages, vacation certificates, and travel clubs that take money up front.
A registered seller of travel should include “Fla. Seller of Travel Reg. No.” in ads. The business should also show the FDACS certificate at its place of business. That does not prove every trip is perfect, but it gives a buyer something official to check before paying.
This is useful with vacation certificates, prize trips, travel clubs, cruise add-ons, spring-break packages, and deals that ask for money before the details feel clear.
Before paying, search the business name and number. Check refund terms, trip dates, what is included, and who books the travel. Keep screenshots of the offer and payment page. A little paper trail is worth having before the suitcase comes out.
