Florida security officer licenses run through FDACS

Florida private security work has an FDACS licensing path, and the person, agency, and license category can all matter.

Private security in Florida is not just a uniform and a work shift.

FDACS licenses private security work. Its search lets you look by name or license number for private security and related license types. A Class D license is tied to security officer work. Other letters can show up too, so read the license type before you file it away.

This can matter for condos, HOAs, events, offices, stores, parking lots, gated areas, and storm or job-site coverage. If you are hiring or checking a contract, ask for the agency name. Ask who will be assigned. Ask for the license details that match the work.

The search result is not a full work history. It is a basic state check. Keep it with the contract, schedule, contact list, and insurance papers so the setup is clear before someone is posted at a gate or desk.
