Florida Elder Helpline routes local aging help

Florida's Elder Helpline gives families a county-based starting point for aging services, local programs, caregiver questions, and referral paths.

Florida aging help is easier to start when you begin with the county, not a pile of random phone numbers.

The Elder Helpline is 1-800-963-5337. It connects people with elder service information through each Florida county. That can be a starting point for local aging programs. It can also help with caregiver questions, rides, meals, respite, benefit questions, and other referrals.

Before calling, write down the county, age, living setup, main need, timing, and best callback number. Keep notes from the call with health contacts, benefit letters, family contacts, and power-of-attorney papers if they exist.

The helpline is not a replacement for emergency help, medical advice, or legal advice. It is a route into the local aging network. A short call log can help the next call make sense. If the first answer is not the right fit, ask which local office or aging resource center should be next.
