Check a Florida driver license status online

When a ticket, course, or notice should have cleared, Florida's online license-status tool can show where the record stands.

Open FLHSMV’s Driver License Check, then enter the Florida license or ID number exactly as it appears. A VALID result means FLHSMV has received information and cleared the driver-license record. You can print the response as the latest official receipt.

Use the check after a court or office tells you it sent a clearance. It can also help after a ticket, insurance notice, or driver course. The result shows the current license status. It does not list every document FLHSMV received, and it does not prove that every related matter is closed.

A valid result only answers the license side. A court, insurer, or payment office may still have work open from the same event. If the result names another office, that office still controls its part of the file.

Print or save the result before you leave the page, then follow any instructions it gives you. If the status is unclear, check the driving-record page or call the office tied to the notice.
