Florida agriculture inspection stations can matter when moving
Florida agriculture inspection stations can matter when a move includes plants, citrus, bees, animals, or farm goods.
Most cars roll past an agriculture inspection station and barely notice it.
The trip changes if you are carrying plants, citrus, bees, livestock, produce, soil, or farm goods. Florida farms and yards can be hurt by pests and plant disease. That is why entry roads have inspection points. They are not toll booths, and they are not welcome-center stops.
This can matter during a move. A few houseplants, a patio citrus tree, a trailer of landscape plants, bee gear, or a truck of produce can turn a normal drive into a rule check.
Before packing living plants or farm items, check the FDACS pages. Ask what can come into Florida. Citrus needs extra care. A plant that feels harmless in the back seat may still be part of a pest rule.
The easy plan is simple. Check before packing. Keep receipts or plant papers if you have them. Do not wait until the car is loaded to learn that one box needs a different answer.
