TPA says baggage-claim curbsides are for active loading only. An early driver can wait in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot until the passenger has arrived, claimed luggage, and reached the curb. If the plan is to meet inside, use the airport’s current short-term parking instructions instead.
The waiting lot has flight information, restrooms, and Wi-Fi. It gives the driver a place to pause without guessing at the terminal.

The simple handoff is enough: the passenger calls after reaching the curb, the driver leaves the waiting lot, and the curb stays a quick pickup. That plan is easier than circling the terminal or guessing when a delayed flight will unload.
