St. George Island State Park needs the end-of-the-road plan

St. George Island State Park sits at the far eastern end of a barrier island, and that location is part of the experience.

The park can feel roomy, quiet, and coastal in a way that suits the Forgotten Coast. Beach walking, birding, fishing, camping, paddling, and simple water views all fit the place. But the end-of-the-road feeling also means access, weather, facilities, and recovery work deserve a check before you drive out.
