Port Orange yard sales start with a displayed city permit
Port Orange requires a displayed permit for a household yard sale. The city limits sales to two per address each year and gives two duration options.
The permit needs to be obtained and displayed at the sale.
Port Orange applies the rule to a household or personal-property sale held by the owner or lessee of a family dwelling. The items cannot have been bought just for resale. The permit can be requested through the city’s online portal or Community Development office.
No more than two sales may take place at the same address in one calendar year. A sale can run for three days in a row. The other option is two weekends in a row, with two sale days in each weekend. Those are alternatives, not days that can be combined into a longer sale.
The city page excludes sales made under a court order or process. It does not turn a household permit into approval for commercial resale. Check the live page for the current fee, portal, and any sign instructions.
