Lake Louisa shows Clermont's lake-and-ridge side

Lake Louisa State Park helps explain why Clermont feels different from flatter parts of Central Florida.

The park sits near U.S. 27, about a half hour from Orlando in normal conditions. Florida State Parks connects it with lakes, the Green Swamp Area of Critical State Concern, the Lake Wales Ridge, several natural plant communities, paved roads, and unpaved multi-use trails. Lakes Louisa, Hammond, and Dixie are part of the setting.
