Florida telehealth registration is a provider lane

Out-of-state health care practitioners may need a Florida telehealth registration before treating Florida patients by telehealth.

A video visit can feel borderless. The provider record can still have a Florida step.

If a health care provider is outside Florida and treats Florida patients online, the Florida telehealth page is the place to check. The record issue is separate from an appointment link. It is also separate from a national clinic brand.

For a patient, check the provider name and job title. Look for a Florida telehealth registration or Florida license clue. Check the office contact before sharing medical details or payment. For a provider, the Florida record question comes before seeing Florida patients online.

This does not replace medical advice or the relationship with a clinician. It is a record check that helps make sure the file matches the service.

Save the provider name, license or registration result, visit date, portal message, and bill in the same health folder. Telehealth is still health care. The paper trail should be easy to find later.
