Florida State Parks has campsites, cabins, and other overnight options, and the nightly rate can be only one line of the total. A reservation fee may apply. Taxes can apply. Some places can have a county surcharge. Pets, cabins, special activities, tours, boat use, tubing, or separate admissions can add their own details.
This is not a reason to avoid camping. It is a reason to read the full checkout screen before you treat the trip as cheap or expensive. A tent site, RV site, cabin, primitive site, and group plan can all price out differently. A Monroe County trip may have a different fee stack than an inland weekend.
