Florida CDL medical certification is a commercial driver file

Some Florida CDL holders need a current medical certification record, and that file is separate from simply holding the license card.

A Florida CDL is not only a card in a wallet.

For many CDL drivers, the health card is part of the file too. That can matter for truck work, bus work, delivery work, road crews, and anyone moving to Florida with a CDL already in use.

The easy mistake is treating the health card like one loose paper from one exam. Keep it tied to the CDL record, the job file, the end date, and any state notice. If the record falls out of step, the problem may show up when work, insurance, renewal, or a roadside check is already tense.

Keep the card, proof it was sent in, CDL class, add-ons, and renewal dates together. If you are changing jobs or moving from another state, check the Florida CDL medical page early. It is easier to fix the file before the next paid drive depends on it.
