Florida bulky pickup days are part of the move-out plan

Furniture, mattresses, appliances, and yard piles can have local pickup windows, request rules, placement rules, and yearly limits.

Moving out can turn a normal curb into a pile of mattresses, boxes, old chairs, and yard debris. In Florida, that pile usually needs the local trash rule before it needs muscle.

Miami-Dade allows scheduled bulky waste pickups for covered households, with yearly limits and placement timing. Hillsborough County tells residents to request special curbside pickup before placing bulky trash at the curb. Orlando handles large items through its own city collection path.

That is why the trash plan belongs on the moving list. A couch at the curb too early can annoy neighbors or trigger a local problem. A pile in the wrong spot can block sprinklers, mailboxes, parked cars, sidewalks, or collection equipment. Some items may need a different disposal path.

Before the last weekend, check the address, provider, pickup day, accepted items, pile size, and how early the items may go out. If you rent, ask the landlord or property manager too. Apartment, condo, HOA, city, and county rules can all sit on top of the same pile.
