Florida 511 is the road trip and storm traffic check

Florida 511 gives drivers a current place to check crashes, closures, traffic speeds, and storm travel conditions.

Florida is a long driving state. A normal trip can cross bridges, causeways, toll roads, construction zones, and weather that changes by county. Florida 511 is the first traffic check for that kind of drive.

Use it for road speed, crashes, closures, work zones, cameras, and emergency travel information. During storm season, it can help you see the big road picture before you commit to a route. It is especially useful when a beach bridge, interstate lane, or evacuation route is part of the day.

It still does not replace local judgment. A neighborhood street, private road, ferry, park road, or flooded low spot may not show up the way a major highway does. Check Florida 511 before a long drive, then pair it with county emergency updates, weather alerts, and the place you are trying to reach.

For a long trip, check once before leaving and again before the last busy stretch.
